This was an interesting project, though I never managed to finish it. (Surprise, surprise.) The concept was to create a three part design that showed where you started out as an artist, influences on your work, and where you are today. I chose to create an arched canvas with hinged panels, roughly modeled after a portable icon. The general theme was off-kilter angels, as the first sketch I can ever remember doing, many years ago, was an angel.

These four panel sketches represent the various artists that most influenced my work at the time.

Two other components for this piece exist, and will eventually be photographed for this page: the current state of work, and where I started.
